Re: KAP - Kite Aerial Photography

Phil Warner does it with his DSLR under a RC-Heli:
six rotating shots within 1.2 secs, not rotating the heli but the cam

Re: KAP - Kite Aerial Photography

I have had an interest in KAP since  seeing the famous pictures of San Francisco.

A month or two ago, I was very excited to see a man with a blimp on the street by my house, taking photos. Unfortunately he was not very helpful, as he was not interested in KAP, just making money from real estate photos. Still, it is an interesting idea: Skyworks

I think for now I will try to find a pole to mount the orion/merlin I have coming...

Also, this is a very good website: http://arch.ced.berkeley.edu/kap/kaptoc.html

Re: KAP - Kite Aerial Photography

I'm shooting KAP & BAP & PAP as well. Just a beginner, though I managed to dip a Sigma DP1 in the sea already... Not all images I shoot are panoramas, but most of the time I try to have at least a few shots that APP can use, so I can achieve a better resolution.

Here's a recent example:

Some of my panoramas, posted in the Autopano Pro flickr group.
