Other projections for panoramas - demo application

I'm coming back for proposal of projections somewhere in-between Spherical and Planar.

horizontal partial pano
pict #1: pano 160° x 75° in Planar = ugly
pict #2: pano 179° x 75° in Spherical = buildings in centre too near, people on edges too far. Do we see 180° here?
pict #3: same reprojected with Ellipso

vertical pano 81° x 95°
pict #4: in Planar = a bit too stretched in vertical
pict #5: in Mercator = better but streets and buildings look curved
pict #6: reprojected with Mistery = keep the horizontal aspect of Planar, reduce stretching in vertical

You can find more explanations on my website
http://marc.chauviere.free.fr
select 'Projections ReProjector' in the 'Info Links' menu
in the secong page, there is a free application (Windows 32bits) to demonstrate these projections on your personal partial panos (pict #7).

---

Y voit-on 180° ici ?
pict #3: le même reprojeté par Ellipso

pano vertical 81° x 95°

http://marc.chauviere.free.fr

Thanks Alexandre for your comment and interest. I've done proposals before but I think users want to try themself, that's why this demo application.
For me, a study is starting, not to build a specific and standalone tool, but to integrate some other projections to stitching applications, quality will always be better when done from the source.

Is-it so much complicated ? I'm using a free 'personal website' service that don't accept 'files provider' users.
If you don't like to see my face, I can only give a link to download page:

Re: Other projections for panoramas - demo application

Sorry for the trouble, I have no problems in seeing your face but it seems I was having a local problem with few sites, either the browser was set wrong or my firewall was preventing the links to be opened.

Clicking on 'Projections ReProjector' was opening a blank page but now its sorted out. Thanks for this demo application will try this weekend.
