4 directions from top of building ?
I`m wondering whats the best way to shoot gigapixel view from a large building. 360 isnt possible. I may shoot 4 directions 180, but then I will end up with 4 panos, the other solution might be to shoot 8 directions 90 degrees with flat projection and show it as one pano in flat projection and endless scroll.
Any views on this or any urls to cases I may study ?

shooting from a corner, its possible to get near to 270.
If there is not much in the fore-ground, and the building is not too wide, it may be possible to combine overlapping panos taken around the edges into one large full 360 pano

Re: 4 directions from top of building ?
I believe that someone on the krpano site captured each cubic face as a panorama and assembled it into a 360. I remember that there was a white stage in the pano with grass.

I can show some examples;
A while ago I made a similar panorama. In my case it covers only 290° and it is shot from 2 different locations.
After I saw the result I was afraid that I did not move to the 3 position and finish the panorama.
But the main reason for not shooting a 360° panorama was the very cold and strong wind.

And I found another one, same location, hand-held moving around the tower, If I remember correctly I shoot the pictures at 6 or 8 different locations.

Thanks panoguy. Hey, I used to have that nick
I think I will do like you and shoot 4 270`s and script them together in KrPano by putting a large hotspot at each of the boundaries.
